Soft Hand - In Blackjack a soft hand is any hand that contains a Ace. A hand that contains as Ace is referred to as a soft hand because the Ace can have a value of 1 or 11.

Vegas Strip Blackjack

Vegas Strip Blackjack is played with 6 standard decks of cards with the Jokers removed, the dealer must stand on all 17s. The dealer will peak if their up card is an Ace or Face (10 card included). This peek is to check to see if the dealer has a Blackjack. If the dealer has a Blackjack the hand ends, and all player loose unless the player also has a Blackjack and then that player pushes. If the up card is an Ace the Dealer will offer Insurance before peeking. If the Dealer does not have a Blackjack the hand will continue as normal.
Doubling down is allowed on any initial hand and doubling is allowed even after a split except after splitting Aces.
The player is allowed to re-split twice after an initial split however after splitting Aces, re-splitting is not allowed.
Insurance is available when the dealers up card is an Ace.
If you split the hand, it will not longer be covered by insurance.
If you double down only the initial wager is covered by insurance.
